Holiday Vashon/Southworth ferry schedule

Washington State Ferries customers traveling over the holidays will have plenty of opportunity to get to their destination as a Monday holiday means that many travelers will depart early, sailing on Thursday and Friday.

Others will wait and travel on Saturday and Sunday. Many will return home on Monday for the beginning of the workweek on Tuesday, so expect crowded ferries on Monday, Dec. 25, and Tuesday morning, Dec. 26.

For the Fauntleroy/Vashon/Southworth route, on Thursday, Dec. 21 and Friday, Dec.22, the 124-car ferry Issaquah will switch to the number one position in the evening to assist in carrying late night traffic. On Sunday, Dec. 24, this route will operate on a Sunday schedule and on Monday, Christmas Day this route will be on a Monday schedule. However, extra service mid-day may occur if traffic is heavy.

On Sunday, December 31, the Fauntleroy/Vashon/Southworth route will be on a Sunday schedule and on Monday, Jan. 1, this route will operate on a regular Monday
