House fire in SeaTac

SeaTac fire crews were able to put out a house fire near the intersection of South 128th Street and 22nd Avenue South. The one resident in the home was able to get out. A neighbor who saw smoke coming out of the roof called it in. The fire was mainly in the wall and the attic. No cause for the fire is known yet, but investigators are looking at a space heater or a pellet stove as possible starting locations.

Drunk and disorderly

A transient had been overly consuming wine and, as a result, roamed the streets of Burien being loud and belligerent. The subject entered the Safeway at 138 S.W. 148th St. and attempted to unlawfully take meat products and skin cream. An employee requested the subject be trespassed from the store.

Drunk driver slams into patrol car

Three right lanes of southbound I-5, North of 188th Street, were closed for about three hours after a drunk driver ran into a Washington State Patrol Trooper. The State Patrol dispatchers had received multiple 911 calls about a possible drunk driver driving south on I-5 in the SeaTac area. The trooper was responding to the call and had pulled over on the right shoulder in an attempt to locate the driver. The suspected drunk driver crossed several lanes of traffic and slammed into the rear of the fully marked patrol car. The officer was taken to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. The suspected drunk driver has a prior DUI conviction and was driving on a suspended license. He will be charged with DUI, he was taken to the hospital with serious injuries.

Wanted man calls police

Police were called to the Silver Dollar Casino, 14027 International Boulevard South. The caller reported that he was being watched by the security at the casino. When officers arrived they ran the callers name and found that he had two misdemeanor warrants for his arrest. Police arrested the man and he was booked into King County Jail. No charges will be filed against the security guard.

Police blotter -- car break-ins

Can the addresses given in a long, unending list be "mapped" to Google or similar maps for quick reference? The information would be more meaningful if I saw it by map location rather than simply addresses.
