King County Sheriff’s Department Reminds Drivers to Be Aware During Winter Commuting and Holiday Shopping

By Matt Wendland

Deputy Myers of the King County Sheriff’s Department sent out a reminder for drivers to be careful and aware during their winter commutes and holiday shopping.

This photo provided by KCS shows what can happen in even the most innocent of mistakes.

The driver of the Subaru overturned in this photo accidentally hit the wrong pedal when pulling into a parking spot in front of Fred Meyer on 1st Avenue in Burien Friday afternoon.

This took the vehicle up the occupied Chrysler mini van in the next parking spot and onto its side. Thankfully both drivers were uninjured though they were, not surprisingly, shaken up by the incident.
