Sleeper awakens Kennedy with boys lacrosse defeat of Emerald Ridge-Puyallup

PUYALLUP – Zach Sleeper scored four goals and an assist to lead Kennedy Catholic to a 14 – 12 defeat of Emerald Ridge-Puyallup in boys high school lacrosse action, Tuesday at Sparks Stadium in Puyallup.

With the Lancers leading 14 – 8 after three, Emerald Ridge-Puyallup’s defense finally kicked into gear holding the Kennedy scoreless in the final set while allowing its offense to net four goals.

But the late push was not enough as the Lancers hung on for their second win of the spring.

Sleeper finished the night with five points, while Ashton Peiris had three goals, two assists and 18 ground ball grabs for Kennedy.

Stahl Junior High School ninth grader Brandon Seachriest led the way for Emerald Ridge-Puyallup with for goals and two assists.
