Burien Arts Association
The Burien Arts Association was formally organized in April 1967, following the area's first arts festival and the establishment of an art gallery the previous year. The activities of the Burien Arts Association, besides operation of the Burien Arts Gallery, include the annual Strawberry Festival and Heritage Fair, funding arts-related projects for Burien-area students, arts classes, and taking a leadership role in coordinating arts events in Burien.

Burien Little Theater
The theater that became Burien Little Theatre was founded in 1955. In 1980, the theater regrouped and incorporated as Burien Little Theater. Burien Little Theater's primary mission is to enrich greater Burien and the region by providing affordable and exciting live entertainment. We aim to give people an enlivening experience with unusual productions they cannot get on a DVD or see anywhere else.

The City of Burien Arts Commission promotes and nurtures the arts as an essential component of city life.
