Richard E. Mattson

Dick "retired" from his life journey on May 31, 2007. Dick was a life long Machinist, serving in World War II and Korea with the U.S. Navy; Master Chief Petty Officer (E-9) Mattson retired from the U.S. Coast Guard in 1973. Eleven years later, Quality Control Inspector Mattson retired from Ederer Crane in Seattle.

Dick was a quiet and proud Husband (Marge), Dad (Raymond, Rodney, Mary Ann, Maureen), and Grandpa (Shawn, Ashley), who built his legacy through teaching us the values of responsibility, commitment, and sacrifice by "walking the walk" and "doing things right."
