Carolyn Bing gave her last live performance on December 18, 2007. Later that night Carolyn could be seen on a lawn somewhere surrounded by dogs licking her face.

Howard, her husband of 45-1/2 years, and her sons Marc and Ryan, hosted a Memorial Curtain Call at the Theatre at Highline Community College in Des Moines on Sunday, January 27, 2008.
