Article:	Dr. Vernon D. Clausing Dr. Vernon D. Clausing, an admired and devoted Burien physician, passed away on February 24, 2008, he was 85 years old.Born in Norman, Oklahoma on September 16, 1922, Vernon Clausing attended Oklahoma University, A&M College, and graduated in 1945 from the Des Moines College of Osteopathy & Surgery in Des Moines, Iowa. Upon graduation Dr. Clausing came to Seattle where he completed his internship at Madison Street Hospital. In 1950 he established the Community Family Practice Clinic in Burien where he practiced for 45 years. Dr. Clausing was President of the King County Osteopathic Medical Society for 10 years and served on the Board of Governors of the Washington Osteopathic Medical Association. He was a member of the King County Medical Society, the Washington State Medical Association and American Medical Association. In 1954 he founded Standring
