Juniors eligible

Monday, July 21, 2008

For those who haven't heard through the grapevine, Aviation High School (AHS) juniors are eligible to participate in the Running Start program.

Previously, AHS limited participation in the Running Start program to seniors. However, AHS has recently removed this barrier and is now extending this program to both juniors and seniors.

While AHS does an excellent job of educating our children and offers an interesting and challenging program, Running Start provides our children with another educational alternative that builds on their expanding interests and allows them to refine their educational/college goals.

If you have a "soon-to-be" junior in the Highline School District that has an interest in learning more about the Running Start program, I encourage you to contact Max Silverman, Director of High School Programs at the Highline School District. Max is very helpful and knowledgeable about this program.

It's not too late to pursue Running Start for the next school year.
