Home street Bank in West Seattle welcomes Santa!

HomeStreet Bank in West Seattle is celebrating their 2nd anniversary. Come celebrate and enjoy holiday treats, professional photos with Santa, a hot cocoa bar, warm apple cider and more!

Photos are complimentary with a suggested donation of canned or non-perishable food items for the West Seattle Food Bank (cash/check donations will also be accepted). 3 - 6pm at HomeStreet Bank, 4022 SW Alaska Street.
The founding members of "Pickled Okra", nominee for Best of Western Washington’s (Wedding Band), will also be playing Christmas tunes with a Bluegrass twist from 5-6pm!

Westwood Village Trick or Treat

Participating merchants at Westwood Village, 2600 SW Barton are inviting the whole community to join in the fun of their Annual Trick or Treat on Saturday Oct. 31 from 5pm to 7pm

WEST SEATTLE HARVEST FESTIVAL

A Fall celebration in the West Seattle Junction from 10a.m. to 2 p.m. California Avenue SW will be closed between SW Edmonds and SW Oregon Streets from 7 a.m. to 4 p.m. About 500 people are expected to attend.

This Saturday, October 24, 2015, is the West Seattle Rotary Oktoberfest (6:00 PM to 10:00 PM) at Alki Masonic Hall, 4736 40th Ave SW. Free parking, German & local micro brew BEER, authentic German FOOD, an Oompah BAND, and a RAFFLE.
Tickets are $45 and may be purchased at www.westseattlerotary.org (must be age 21 or older). Net proceeds support the Club's charitable projects.

Seattle Metropolitan Glee Club concert June 7

The Seattle Metropolitan Glee Club (http://www.seattlegleeclubs.org/themet/), a community choir for women based in West Seattle, is performing our 2015 Spring concert,

Sweet Dreams, on Sunday June 7, 2015 at 3:00 PM at Admiral Congregational United Church of Christ (4320 SW Hill St).

Admission is by donation; Suggested $10.

Independent High School Information Fair May 12

Westside School will be holding a high school information fair on Tuesday May 12 from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. The fair will host approximately 15 Admission Directors from the Seattle area, along with two boarding schools. We would like to invite students and parents to the fair, with the purpose of providing an opportunity to learn more about these great schools and the admission process.

Rain Garden "Meet the Contractor" open house May 9

King County and City of Seattle will host a "Meet the Contractor" open house to share information about installing rain gardens and cisterns through the RainWise Program.

The event is set for Saturday, May 9, from 10 a.m. to noon at the Highland Park Improvement Club, 1116 SW Holden St., Seattle. It is the last RainWise contractor fair for this spring.

RainWise is a joint effort by King County and the City of Seattle to fight water pollution by offering rebates to eligible Seattle property owners that could cover up to 100 percent of the cost to install a rain garden and/or cistern.

Free Plant Answer Clinic at the West Seattle Farmer's Market

Spring is here! Need help with your garden question? Answers are as close as your neighborhood Master Gardener Plant Answer Clinic. King County Master Gardeners work as volunteer community educators at clinics in the area to empower citizens to incorporate sustainable horticultural practices that help to conserve our natural resources. Please look for us at the Farmer's Market on Sunday, April 26!
